why is it that every time I get a high straight on full tilt poker I still end up losing to a lower hand?

I have been playing full tilt poker for about 4 or 5 hours now and every time I get a high straight I still lose to someone who had a two pair. here is time I have had the better hand and still lost. I had a KsJs and the river showed As 4d 2c 4s 3h and the other guy had 8s 8d making a two pair now how did he beat my straight?

You don’t have a straight… you would need a 5 for the straight.

Your best hand is: 4d 4s Ks Js 3h – a pair of fours.
Their best hand is: 8s 8d 4d 4s 3h – two pair, eights and fours.

Straights don’t wrap around Aces… they can be either high or low, not both. (K-A-2-3-4 isn’t a straight)

That happens on full tilt sometimes. You should play on pokerstars for real money (where I play). That won’t happen there.

Let me know your screen name so I can look for you at the tables.
