Here are some that immediately come to mind:

    Pick your battles

If you must take a risk, make it an intelligent risk

    Have reasons for your actions

Don’t ever let irrational fear cloud your decision making

    Don’t be cocky

Always study and get to know your competition

Say no to questionable opportunities so that you can pour your resources into the really great opportunities

Sometimes we can make the right decision but get the wrong result

Sometimes we can make the wrong decision but get the right result

If you are going down, go down swinging

It isn’t the cards you are dealt but how you play the cards

Circumstances will rarely be perfect but still we must move forward

Just keep making the right decisions and let the results take care of themselves

The greatest risk is not taking one

Play not to minimize risk but to maximize profit

Master your emotions or they will master you

The sad thing is some people haven’t learned these lessons outside of poker so even if they familiarize themselves with the game they are incapable of seeing its valuable lessons that can enhance their lives.
