How can I memorize poker hands with this bad memory of mine?
I’ve been playing online poker without even knowing what the hands are and it’s fun…LOL. I think I’d have more fun if I knew what they were, though, but my memory is shit. HELP?!? XD

In poker you will remember the big hands you lost even when you dont want to and for some reason we dont remember the ones we win dont know why that is but as for your memory well I found these brain training games on the wii very helpful, just keep your mind busy!

From highest to lowest:
royal flush – A->K->Q->J->10 all of the same suit
straight flush – any 5 cards of the same suit and in sequential order
(just like straight but all cards must also have the same suit hence straight-flush)
four of a kind – if you hadn’t guessed its four cards of the same number lol or four of the same royals
flush – any 5 cards of the same suit i.e. 5 hearts or 5 clubs etc.
straight – a sequence of any 5 cards in ascending order of number e.g. 9 -> 10-> J-> Q -> K
(or descending if you prefer since they’re the same cards K->Q->J->10->9)
full house – a triple of any card number and a pair (basically three of an kind AND pair)
three of a kind – triple of any card with the same number (or a triple of any royal)
two pair – literally
pair – any card number in double (or a double of any royal)
I wasn’t sure from your question if you couldn’t remember the order or what the actual cards needed were so i put both and as for remembering them you could make up a story that incorporates them e.g. there was a pair of boys with two pairs of shoes … and then something involving them being three and kind and entering a full house. My story’s pretty poor but you get the idea it doesn’t have to be good though as long as it helps you remember.
gd luck

Print this page of hand rankings http://www.poker.com/poker-hands/winning-poker-hands.pdf. Reference it while you are playing. Eventually you will memorize it.
