Top Texas Hold Em Poker Tip – Maintain Your Discipline

Today I will share with you my top Texas Hold Em Poker Tip. Its called maintaining your discipline. As we all know, luck plays quite the part in our lives every single day, and, certainly it plays a huge part when we play poker. Most of us know that luck isn’t some airy fairy thing that happens to be bestowed upon some people but not others. In reality it is the combination of opportunity and awareness, a mix if randomness, probability if you will, and being attuned to watching for or being attentive to that happening. Luck doesn’t just happen to us, we make it happen.

Luck is the losers lament. You hear people all the time, whining about someone else’s good fortune, sniggering ‘Oh he just got lucky’. Most of us do it all the time. You see a guy driving a red sports car with a beautiful girl in the passenger seat and you think to yourself ‘Lucky son of a’. We all act like skill, either at the poker table or in life, doesn’t play any part in the outcome and it is all merely luck.

By now your probably thinking ‘Why is Alex talking about luck when he should be blurting out the virtues of discipline’? Well the reason is because when playing poker, luck and discipline seem to be virtually connected at the hip. The time most normal poker players lose their discipline is right after they take a bad beat due to being unlucky. Some other guy pulls a flush draw on the river and snaps you, and you lose it. Of course, this is the most important time when you should maintain your discipline. The other situation when most players lose their discipline is when they continually get dealt a string of unplayable cards. Many players will get fed up and try to make something of nothing, usually getting blown away and losing most, if not all, of their stack.

As important it is to maintain your discipline under pressure, you must maintain it in other ways as well. There is a famous quote that goes “The more I practice, the luckier I get”. This is especially true in poker. The key word here is practice. And the key to practice is discipline. You need to take a disciplined approach to your practice if you want to get better at poker. It takes a huge amount of self discipline to deal yourself thousands of hands at the kitchen table, analyzing each and every one and thinking to yourself how you would play each one. It takes alot of concentration and determination to read all the books, watch all the videos, do all the calculations for hours and hours to improve your game.

The best use of discipline is when you are waiting for that starting hand. If you don’t maintain your discipline when your being dealt junk cards, hands like J-3 will start to look like pocket aces. You’ll lose your patience, play loose and end up losing your stack. Of course, the basic ingredient to patience is of course, discipline. Discipline is your best friend when it comes to consistently winning big in poker. That is why its my top Texas Hold Em Poker Tip. Remember to take it with you to every game, every tournament, and stick with it when you play every hand.

Helena Poker Rooms – Online Texas Holdem Poker

Texas Holdem poker is a variation of the standard card game of poker. Many are joining various poker rooms and tournaments to have some bit of fun. However, online Texas Holdem poker is gaining more and more fame nowadays. This is probably because a lot of people spend so much time online, and social network sites as well as other websites have been working to promote online games.

When looking for a place to play online, consider how long the card room has been in business for. Four to five years is a long time in the online gaming world. It is also best to look for sites that are associated with professional poker players. These sites are more likely to be reputable since the pro players do not want to put their reputation on the line. Also, some poker rooms offer a better sign up bonus, and some even have better or more frequent free roll tournaments. You can find ones that have easier ring games as well.

Do some research at a site that you trust. Search for reviews on casino and poker rooms, and start out by making a small deposit. Ask yourself these questions – Does the site offer games at the limits that you want? Is it easy to withdraw cash? Are there enough players online when you are likely to play? You may even try out the software to check if the site fits your needs.

If you check out the lobby of an online site, you will be able to get a hand of the following information: who the players are in a particular game, the percentage of flops that they are seeing, and the number of hands that are being played per hour.

Online Texas Holdem poker is slowly growing. If you want to play poker, find the best online poker site, or join the most reputable poker rooms now!

Is it legal to hold a poker tournament without a gaming license if I don’t take a cut of the pot?

i was planning on holding a small poker tournament in a non-casino building in Michigan. I wasn’t going to take a cut of the pot only charge money for people to get in. The pot is a 100% give. Is this legal? It would be a big help if you could also post a link to specific legislature that states the laws about gambling. Thanks.

Billings Poker Rooms – Texas Holdem Double Flop

Texas holdem double flop is an ideal home poker variation to play at your home poker night. So it’s a great idea to organize a home poker game with your peers, friends and family. In this holdem variation there are twice as many community cards that are dealt, but it still allows a large number of players to participate at a table. Actually, the recommended size for double flop game is around seven to nine players in order to not overcrowd the table.

Double flops is a very popular and entertaining holdem variation. As the name implies, this card game have two separate boards or community cards which allow the players two chances of forming the best poker hand they can possibly make, one for each set of boards.

This card game works just like the typical Texas holdem, each player will be dealt with two pocket cards and blinds will be posted. After the preflop action, however, two sets of flops, turns and rivers will also be dealt. Each player will then make his five card poker hand from their pocket cards and each set of five community cards. The players cannot mix and match the rows.

Double flop holdem players have to declare two hands, one using the top row of community cards and the second row using the same set of pocket cards. It is usually easiest to compare all the hands for one row at a time.

Just like in any split game, one should look for hands that will allow him to scoop the entire pot. High suited cards are very playable in this game, but lower suited connectors and medium to small pairs decline considerably in value. You have to remember that since you are working with one deck, of course, cards that appear on one row will not be appearing on the other, or in the hands of your opponents. So it’s up to you how to use this to your advantage.
