If you want to hold a poker night at your house, it is important to have the right poker accessories. This starts out, of course, with the right snack food. You need to have something for everyone to munch on. You need to have chips and dip, beer, some take-out food, and whatever else people are likely to want. For many players, however, this is where stops. Not with me! For me, playing poker is as much about creating the right mood as it is about learning and perfecting the game. Raising middle pairs over limpers in the early stages (regardless of buy-in) is somewhat risky. You are likely to get better long term value from set mining cheaply. Most of these calls in early stages are correct for implied odds strategy. A five times raise is not a big hit to their stack and you mostly just don’t narrow the field enough. You’re immediately faced with a more difficult decision regarding a continuation bet man you’ve got over cards on the board. This is one of the more sought after questions in the poker industry and one that tends to be avoided by people. People cannot really answer this question because there is real answer, it’s a bit like asking how was the universe created and what came first the chicken or the egg. But let’s have a brief look at unravelling some of the answers and seeing what the game is all about, is it just skill or luck?
