A freeroll poker online tournament is a huge way for a player to leverage his way into a major tournament in order for them to win big money that will not cost them anything. There are many online casinos and poker rooms that offer these to reward active players and in order to recruit new ones. Generally by playing a number of hands using real money, invitations are then extended to these players to play in tournaments at no risk to them. Whilst at other times players may be given points which are based on their play and then can be used to be redeeming as a cash entry to the tournament of their choice.
However, it is important that players review the poker room or online casino’s policy for gaining entry to these types of tournaments. It may sometimes mean play 50 to 100 hands of poker before you meet the requirements or standards required for being given a freeroll. You could even manage it by being one of the top ranked real money players for a month and then you will receive an invitation to a freeroll poker online tournament. Whilst some casino’s and poker rooms may offer you an invitation to play in one just because you play with real money. The rewards for entering such tournaments can be enormous. You may even find that you have a seat to play in the World Series of Poker, World Poker Tour or some other major tournament that is taking place where the entry fees can be as little as $10,000 and go up to $25,000. Plus other rewards for the top finishers may include real money prizes and/or satellite entry into any other cash prize tournaments that are taking place.
However an experienced player should keep in mind that with so many people now getting into poker the prize pools for many online tournaments often go into the six figure range. Also for those that are just beginning to play poker the advantage of using freeroll online poker is that it gives them additional leverage where their bankroll is concerned. So the more you play the more likely you are to be offered freeroll poker online tournament entry.

In poker, freeroll has two distinct meanings. The first applies to the play of a single hand and the other describes an entire poker tournament. In this article on online poker freeroll will just be looking a the meaning which applies to the play of a single hand.
So what is online poker freeroll hand?
It is when you are playing a particular hand of poker a freeroll is a situation that will arise (often when only 2 players are left in the game) and before the last card has been dealt. This is a game in which one player is guaranteed to at least split the pot with his opponent no matter what the final cards are. But there is also a chance that he can win the whole pot if the final cards are dealt in a certain way. Often this mostly occurs during a high-low split game. This is when one player knows that he is guaranteed a low hand and that his opponent will not be able to make a better low no matter what card is dealt. But this same player who is low might also possibly catch a lucky card which gives him a straight or flush which means he can win high as well.
Also a player who knows he has a freeroll can raise the pot with impunity and so very often a less skilled opponent who feels he has a good hand but does not realize that he is on the wrong end of a freeroll will continue to raise. Unfortunately for him there will be no chance of any possible gain at the end of the hand.
In the poker game of Hold’em it is possible for you to know you have a freeroll without actually seeing your opponent’s cards. If after the turn of the board you find you have two aces and two kings (all of separate suits) and you hold the AK then you are guaranteed a split at minimum. However if you find that there is a possibility of getting four of a kind (nuts) then you are guaranteed the winning hand if an ace of king should come out next.
So as you can see online poker freeroll can be an interesting game and may be should investigate a little further and see what the various online casino’s and poker rooms have to offer.

Today Sit N Go is becoming one of the most popular forms of poker tournament now being played online. It is in the tournament format with a one table game where usually 9 or 10 players take part and will start as soon as the table is full. The prize money that you can earn from such a tournament is normally broken up into the following ratio’s 50% (first) 30% (second) and 20% (goes to the third place player). Below we will provide you with a number of Sit N Go Strategy hints which may well help improve the way you play in your next tournament.
Certainly such tournaments provide a terrific opportunity for a good poker player to make a good regular income. Normally each tournament will last anywhere from 1/2 hour up to 1 hour. So it is quite possible for you to take part in a number of games each day and by following the basic strategy provided below you should certainly win a lot more money than you would lose.
- The best way to win constantly at Sit N Go tournaments is to be disciplined. Once you know what you have to do then stick to that plan and do not be tempted by the table conditions to have a go. The real name of the game is survival. The whole thing is to get into the last three and leave the tournament with more money than you actually started with. As nothing else matters your philosophy should be based on limiting your risks as much as possible.
- Only play premium hands. Such as pairs, suited connectors, AK, AQ and sometimes AJ or A10 suited but only if it is in a late position in an un-raised table. Although there is not much to go on you may well be tempted to play an A8 or K10 but do not! Unfortunately there are just too many hands on which you can lose and you will be playing against others who will call anything. They will also get lucky far too often for your liking because of this.
- However when you hit a good hand, then bet on it rather than call and make your bet large enough to scare off anyone hoping to get luck with theirs. You will find that you will take most pots by doing this and you will be well placed as you probably have the best starting hand.
By adopting these very simple Sit n Go Strategy tips you will find that your game will come together more easily and you will a much more effective player. This will then result in your winning more.

If you are really serious about playing in a Sit n Goes tournament then you should seriously consider visiting a poker website which offers mentoring and coaching to players. There are several such sites that you can be find on line and which will provide you with SNG strategy tips and hints in order to help improve your game.
One reason for using a mentor is that they will actually ghost your tournament play and help you with any strategy along the way. So as you play a tournament you will be on the phone with your mentor and they will watch the tournament table. You will tell them what cards you have and then you will discuss what strategy you are going to use together. The reason why this method is much more helpful than any book advice is it is real time and also highly practical for you whilst you are playing.
Whilst playing the first 3 to 4 levels of a game you should play a fairly tight strategy and only play the good cards in an early position. Then play some more speculative hands in a later position where you can see a cheap flop (suited connectors or small pairs).
Then as you progress from the early stages in to the middle stages of a tournament you should start to play a little more aggressively with lesser hands.
Finally as you get into the late stages of a tournament you should now start to get very aggressive in the way you play. It is important that you make sure you play aggressively on the bubble especially if you have shorter stack than your opponents.
If you happen to notice a player during a game who is playing fairly tight and is not taking many chances until they are actually in the money then watch what they are doing. Make sure that you think about what they may be holding before you decide to commit a lot of your chips against them.
However the best SNG strategy to use if you are just trying to make money is to play very tight throughout the tournament. In most of the tournaments that you enter you will find you get enough hands early on to give you a good stack of chips which will last you. Then once you are close to the money then loosen up your game.

There are many things that have been related to poker, yet there is only one piece of furniture that has been a symbol of a real card player and a real poker player. Poker tables have been that symbol since the inception of gambling in modern society.
These poker tables have been seen in casinos, online, and even in people’s homes. These have been the standard of a social gathering and a gambling event. These tables have been something that have been so sought after that there are even poker tables that can be purchased or created. This has been a very encouraging thing to the fans of the games of chance that are played with cards and the stakes that can be very light hearted or profound.
Poker has been something that has been seen in movies, television, songs, and even in history itself. There have even been universities that have been started by gamblers in the United States. Some have questioned the common sense of playing a game that can make someone a pauper, yet still these games of risk and chance have been a factor in the course of many of the histories that are in the modern world.
Poker tables are something that can be spotted anywhere, as the velvet green surface and the designated spots on the table have been seen only on these tables. These tables can be spotted anywhere and many recognize them right off the bat. These tables have been a focus in the modern culture and have been considered to be a novelty that many have had an interest in having.
With the more distinct tastes of the people and casinos that have been seen in the world, variations of the poker tables has been something that has become more common in the more up to date tables. These tables have been the center of many of the things that have been seen in card games and also have been the standard between children’s games and those for adults.
Some have considered the poker tables to be nothing more than just a waste of funds, yet there are those that are avid fans of the gambling games and see that they are a means of having the magical feel that can be felt by some in casinos in their own home. Many of these people consider the tables to be more than just an item that can be focused for gambling. They commonly consider the tables to be an excuse for friends to gather together and to do one thing that they enjoy and spend time as friends ought to.

A Sit and Go tournament which can sometimes be known as SNG poker is an extremely popular choice for those taking part in online poker games. Certainly for beginners SNG poker is a good way as it offers them a chance to train in many areas of the game for a limited amount of money. But not only this it is a fun and exciting way to play and it provides you with experience of playing at the final table of a tournament.
Just like any other big tournament SNG requires that everybody buys in to the game for the same amount of money in order to get the same amount of chips. So for example if you enter a SNG game that is for $5 you are expected to bay $5 plus $0.50 (a fee for getting the 1000 chips that you need). For such a game the rewards to the winners would be as follows:-
First Place - $25
Second Place - $15
Third Place - $10
Normally a sit and go poker game will consist of between 6, 9 or 10 players although it can sometimes be as low as just 2 players and in some cases up to 50. Normally prize money will be split between the top three finishers of a tournament but this may change depending on how many entrants there are.
The rules relating to both SNG and regular poker cash games are generally the same. The only difference being is that you can play for as long as you want in a cash game. Whilst in a SNG poker game as soon as you lose all your chips then you will be eliminated from it.
Normally the blinds at the beginning of an SNG poker game are very small and good players will not normally gamble during the early stages of a game. However, once the blinds reach a higher level then this is the time when players should start playing more aggressively and start thinking about stealing their opponent’s chips.
Finally one more reason why SNG poker is now becoming so popular is because you do not have to take big risks whilst playing it. Also it can be very profitable if you can master the fine points of the game which makes your risk more manageable.

The game of Sit N Go or as it is sometimes referred to as SNG has blazed a path in the online poker world with vengeance. So just what is Sit’n'Go? It is a small 6-30 person tournament where the prize pool is simply what everyone has paid in order to enter it. Normally the prize pool money will be divided between the top three finishers at the end of the tournament, but it does not actually depend on the result of an individual game.
One of the benefits of taking part in a Sit N Goes tournament is that it gives players a taste of what it is like to play at the final table of a large tournament without having to do all the hard work to get there.
For many who are half decent poker players taking part in Sit’n'Go’s can be very profitable even if they only make some money half of the time. Today there are many poker professionals who make their living off of taking part in Sit N Goes tournaments and through nothing else. Below are some tips which may help you to master Sit N Goes and put you on your way to becoming a poker pro as well.
The most important thing you should do before you start playing is to divide the game in to separate stages, Early, middle and late and each of these stages should then be approached in a different way.
Early Stages
During this stage you should only play the monster hands. So it is important that you hold on to the Queens, Kings and Aces. Also be very selective about the hands that you play and spend time watching the betting patterns of your opponents. As most players taking part in Sit’n'Go’s will start off very aggressive (due to small blinds) this is a great time to just watch and learn.
Middle Stages
After about 4 people have been eliminated from the tournament you can then start to play a few more hands. However, you should still be very selective what hands you play since you have yet to make some money.
Late Stages
When you get down to the last 4 people in an Sit’n'Go tournament you find that funny things begin to happen.
Those players who were once aggressive will begin to tighten up in order to make money. But as you have been tight all along it is now time for you to make your move. So loosen up and push your chips and then watch everyone around you begin to fold. However, be careful and play smart and you will soon stack up a lot of chips before it gets down to the final three players. The best way to be when it comes to the final three is the one who has the most chips. So play smart but also play aggressive as well.
So hopefully by following the three simple steps above you should soon be a master at player Sit’n'Go.
